Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 – “But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

What it means

There’s just something about chapter 3, verse 16 in different books of the bible that is very profound, isn’t there? 😊 If we back up a few verses, the apostle Paul tells us in verse 13 that Moses was forced to place a veil over his face “to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away”…but not us. We aren’t to be like him, because when we turn over our lives to The Lord, He removes the veil…we are free, and it should show on our face, in our countenance, etc. We are being transformed into His image, and His glory is written all over our faces…and that’s a good thing 😊

What it means to me

It’s a powerful thought…having the glory of The Lord displayed on our faces for the world to see who we are and who we ultimately belong to. We are His representatives in the world today – kind of like His billboard advertising the greatest news that the world could ever hope to hear. And yes, that will make us stand out from time to time, but that’s okay…we’re supposed to look different, in a good way, from the rest of the world.

So, don’t hide that beautiful face anymore – let it shine in all its glory, even if it has a few wrinkles here and there. You see, we’re slowly being transformed into His image, with ever-increasing glory which comes from The Lord…Amen!
